What to do for Mother’s Day in Ocala? Here is a step by step guide to help you make the most of your day!
- Stop and pick up flowers. Every mom loves flowers I don’t care what she says. Heritage Flowers, Ocala Flower Shop, and Brick City Flowers will all help you pick the perfect bouquet for mom. Hand deliver them if you can!
- Take mom to breakfast, brunch or lunch. If you don’t want to do the ol breakfast in bed thing, take mom out for a lovely breakfast somewhere fun and unique. The Ocala Hilton offers a fantastic Mother’s Day Brunch where can then stroll around the grounds. Ipanema, Sky Restaurant and Mesa de Notte are all offering brunch as well. Please call ahead to these to be sure to get your seat.
- Walk off those pound all while looking for a new home at the Parade of Homes. If you see one you love, call me so we can get you the best deal. Not looking for a home, how about checking out the Appelton Museum for a little air conditioned fun? Silver Springs State Park is also offering garden tours where you can learn about the park’s history and native plants.
- End your evening at the Symphony Under the Stars sponsored by the Fine Arts For Ocala. Grab your picnic blanket, chairs and some good homemade snacks (and a bottle of wine) and enjoy a concert by Ocala Symphony Orchestra. The evening ends with a fabulous fireworks display! This event takes place on the Ocala Golf Club greens.
